MemberHave had a 2006 Honda CRV since 2006 – great vehicle, hands down the most reliable I’ve ever had.
About to get a new company car – Toyota Hilux 3lt turbo diesel 4×4 dual cab – won;t be able to fit rigged rods in that one 🙁

MemberYou mean these?
Going to fish them tomorrow for snapper…
Can’t take credit for the pattern – it’s an adaptation of Morsies ‘Squidling’ that some of Jon Makims flies reminded me of, so I knocked some up on this Tubeology system. Probably worth a post in itself – will do that if I get some fish…

MemberNo Bob – it rides hook point up because the fish skull head has its weight distributed – you have to make sure it goes on the right way.

MemberIts pretty easy to identify rods even with the make/model covered up. Just match the colours & fittings.
Its a shame that some of the newer Scott models weren’t in the mix – like the S4, A4 or F series #4 weights, but it is an interesting read nonetheless.Best Regards,

MemberI’m right there with you on emergers! This is a modified shaving brush that has worked well for me the last few years. I sometimes put an orange foam post in there for visibility but my eyes seem to have improved lately.
Small fush by NZ standards though.

MemberGo the goop – work a little into the materials of your fly by rolling your bodkin on the spot before pressing the eye in place.
CCG is actually pretty economical. You only buy the kit once and the actual material goes a long way – you have zero wastage, flies don’t yellow over time, no air bubbles – it’s worth it.

MemberZach, you can bend that PVC tubing by heating it up evenly with a heat gun and bending gently.
