Sick work man!!!……. like the others, I am a big fan.

I look at your pics and always think a few things –> patients, persistence and how much work it must take to capture the images. Excellent work, you have made many fishers stoked.

Thanks for posting the hows and the whys…. interesting stuff and thank you for your insight.

Looking forward to seeing more of you work in the future.

What was wrong with Aqua-Stealth that necessitated a change to Vibram?  I own a pair of Rivershed studded aqua-stealth and love them.  I have zero complaints nor have ever heard anyone ever complain about aqua-stealth.  Why the change?

    😕

“Aquastealth” (5.10) is no longer providing rubber to anyone. FFing manufactures are scrambling to find an alternative. Well be seeing a variety of ideas in the future. Vibram is a pretty hard rubber, so well see how well they do in cold water. If you like the “Aquastealth” you better buy last years boots now ; )

    Hope this helps

Thanks for the kind words Aaron.

Although, to be honest, I’m pretty much a hack so I tend to set the bar pretty low…. its easier to jump over the next time ; )

I’ll keep my eye out for the grom, haven’t received my issue yet. Awesome news!!

Sorry I am late to the second round of pics… but damn guys, that is some filthy stuff!! Fantastic shooting.

Sorry to taint your work with my garbage but here are the last of mine. A few were science experiments with HDR and a few are just shots gone wrong ; )

I really appreciate all the help with the camera stuff you guys. Cor, the lens was great and I’ll be adding that to my minuet quiver very soon.

Keep it up guys, you hard work is appriciated.

Again, thanks for everything Aaron, my door is always open to you.

Any thought on ways to improve my junk and/or constructive criticism is always appriciated. (I have thick skin). Thanks for looking.

How about the rest of you?

Less than a year. Doesn’t matter on the thickness of the material for me, or what brand (Cabelas and Cloudveil has been the worst in my experience), or what I do to prevent breakdown (Nikwax  or any other DWR treatment)… But then again, I use them more often than not and I don’t think any gear is actually made to last.

Thanks for the words everyone, it was a wonderful trip.

Damn guys… wow.. killer stuff! I am way under-gun-d. Thanks for all the tips and tricks boys, awesome work.

Nice shooting guys, fantastic shots! Thanks for the hospitality Aaron, couldn’t have asked for anything better! My door is always open to you.

What a cool trip. I agree with you Cor, everyone should hit Arizona at least once it their lifetime. The scenery is amazing and fish sure are purdy.

I’ll sure never forget this great adventure… broken keys, credit card locksmiths, a bit of boat riggin’, cast and blast morning swimmers,  lovely small bait fish,  rare natives (fish and people), behemoth Rainbows that are willing to eat a small dry fly (midge cluster)on 7x, Jedi master on the net, etc, etc…. Thanks again man, I had a great time.

Didn’t get the best of shots but I learned a few things and I had a blast in the process…. Hope you enjoy.

The fist session of the trip.. Cor getting after it.

Sunrise… the desert colors are amazing.

eVent is awesome for upper layers that need to breathe. “Pro shell” (Gore) is still my go-to but it seems eVent will give Gore a run for its money.

    Basic Low down…
Gore – uses a PU layer -> reduces breathability, gains in durability.
eVent – does not use a PU layer -> superior breathability (eVent calls it ‘Direct Venting’) lacks in durability.

in reply to: So I sent back my leaking Cloudveil waders……. #32575

Bummer deal Lando… I sent back in a pair of chest waders after a few uses, they sent me back a pair of wading pants!  Customer service said sorry that they are a “one man band” and left it at that. Over the years, its been the same story –> very poor customer service. Hope it all works out for ya!

in reply to: Anyone catching fish? #32635

Not since the 31st of last year ; ) But I’m headed out for a few days this weekend to find some midge sippers.

Here is the beast of the day!
