They sent back a brand new pair………………BUT THE WRONG EFFING SIZE!

Apparently, this is right up their “customer service” alley.

    Lando –

Um, that just sounds like they made a mistake.

Sounds like good customer service to me, human error.

Let’s not forget that the best customer service is the one you never have to deal with in the first place…

All waders eventually leak, just like all shoes eventually wear out and all cars eventually need new tires.

    I agree….human error happens.

I’ve had nothing but fantastic service from them.

Bummer deal Lando… I sent back in a pair of chest waders after a few uses, they sent me back a pair of wading pants!  Customer service said sorry that they are a “one man band” and left it at that. Over the years, its been the same story –> very poor customer service. Hope it all works out for ya!

I sent mine back after busting the crotch out climbing on a bar stool in Argentina.

Zach my comment wasn’t a bust on cloudveil but more in general. It seems there’s a growing sense that good customer service makes up for a crappy product. I guess since a lot of our products are now made by 12 year olds in a sweat shop this is the best way for companies to stay in business. Honestly, it’s getting old spending top dollar for product only to have it fail way prematurely. For me I’d rather not have any equipment problems when I’m on the water but lately it seems no matter how much you spend it’s a roll of the dice if you’ll get quality or not.

    My warranty claims:

Scott. Sent a second hand G 885/3 that was 15 years old.

Cloudveil needs to stick to the Snow Proof stuff or make a Simms employee a offer they can’t refuse! As far as rods I broke a Winston and they got it back pretty fast, 4 weeks. Scott took 6 weeks. I was glad I didn’t have to buy new rods!

Hey, all I know is that my Cloudveil waders lasted me two full seasons as a guide in Alaska with no leaks….not a single one.
