MemberThanks Rolf I was prepared to eat that one but now I think I’ll call manfrotto.

MemberThanks Everyone. Adam I’m using a 400 5.6 or the 70-200 f4 IS. The 70-200 f4 is macro sharp.
John I found a bargain at a big box store on the 17-40 F4 L and I can’t tell you how much I’ve enjoy that lens. I rarely mount the 24-105 L

MemberThanks guys I’m just playing around trying to get to know the Mark II. Something I’ve learned is that each camera model seems to have it’s own unique personality. Getting in synch with it can be a challenge but a fun one. Lately it has become an obsession.
Few more.

MemberJust saw this. Great job Neal they look like Bass killers. I’ll give em a go here in TN as well.

MemberNot yet Simon.

MemberWOW! Love the second shot in this series.

MemberDavid I’ve held it and fondled it but I’m still using the Simms boat bag, 4th season, still no leaks… If the Sage bag was on the pro deal I’d be owning it right now. It’s pretty awesome.

MemberWhat fly shops can provide that Walmart can’t is fantastic customer service. Perhaps this will bring an end to the days of cocky, arrogant, condescending, elitist, smart-ass, fly shop employees. Thank God!
Outstanding!

MemberGood thread. I just had a Manfrotto 488RC2 ball head to break. It’s not a year old and the Ball is cracked. Anyone ever send one back?

MemberThanks guys!

MemberGreat stuff Andrew! Love those colors on the Permit.

MemberI came upon this shot and didn’t have my camera. Travis had his P&S so I used it. Pretty sweet for a waterproof P&S I thought.

MemberThe in flight is awesome.

MemberI think they’re going to be surprised at how many of their once happy customers won’t be returning unless they cut the built in lifetime warranty cost off the sticker price.
Loomis all but drove the nails in the coffin of a friend of mine’s well established Custom rod building business when they stopped selling blanks last year. He had been in business since 1975. Now this… This kind of stuff hurts lots of folks who have supported the company for many years.

MemberI wonder how they plan to handle “guide rods”. Any idea how many of them get broken by careless clients…
This is going to be bad news for the high end rod.

MemberI didn’t find any Dragons out today but I did find this little guy.

MemberNice sharp images. Those things are an engineering marvel.

MemberTonight I played around with the 100 trying to get an inflight.
These guys are about 3″ long. Not the easiest targets…

MemberGreat advice John, Thanks. The 400 just hasn’t impressed me up close but I probably haven’t given it a fair shake yet either. Have you ever owned or played with the 135 f2?
A few Bumble Bee in flight Images from the 100 2.8.
