MemberBeautiful!

MemberThe Nikon I have is decent and has some great features like 1080 and great low light. The AF isn’t the best though. If I had it to do all over again I’d most likely go with Canon’s WP camera.

MemberNice shot.

MemberYep we got em here in good numbers. I certainly recognize the place. Good one guys!

MemberThanks Michael. They were reenacting the Battle of Stones River. If your into this sort of thing the 150th reenactment of Gettysburg is coming up this summer. It’s gonna be a big one. The folks who put these on are some very interesting people who eat, sleep and breath civil war history. I really enjoy visiting the camps after the show is over and the visitors leave.

MemberThanks Jason. Saturday the bad conditions pretty much matched the conditions they had to deal with durring the battle. It really added to the feel of the place.

MemberThanks Mark. The weather was just right for the longer exposures that allowed me to get the live fire without using an ND.
Don’t think I could have caught this one spraying and praying.

MemberI’ve got a Cabelas FT (USA Made) 11′ 6wt I’d sell for $140. It’s been used maybe four times.

MemberI just can’t get into creative fishing photography. My fish shots are mostly just for the sake of documenting what and when. Fishing photography done right interferes with the fishing too much.

MemberTook another shot at the Mtns but with a bad head cold I settled to fish the lower rivers for Rainbows.

DJ2A4486.jpg by FLY FISHING TN, on FlickrAfter spending just a little time in the park after hours I’ve learned that when you’re fishing and you hear something that sounds like a four legged animal… It’s probably just one of these. I’ve seen at least four of these now and only one Bear.

MemberThat’s cool Chad. I’m heading back as soon as I can break away from work today. Found a campground where I can store my RV for a $1 a day. I’ll be spending alot of time there in the next few months.

MemberI remember hunting in Baldwin and Putnan counties when I lived there. It really is ridiculous how many deer there are in GA.

MemberThanks Steve. I wasn’t expecting to find any snakes out this late and I was plundering through the forrest with reckless abandon. I made sure to move it off the trail before we moved on.
BD is one of the smartest and hardest fishermen I know. When he walks away from a pool it’s safe to say there is no point in fishing it behind him. He’s also one of the clumsiest people I know. It’s always interesting when he’s around. Ask Zach about his Net job on a sizable Brown on the Cumby sometime. HA ha.
I’ve fished the NC side a little, mostly Snowbird and the Nan a little. A friend of mine has been doing some shocking over there to get some fish for the new Brook Trout hatchery. He tells me he has found a creek that has more Brookies then any creek he’s ever seen. We’ll be exploring that place more pretty soon.

MemberThanks Jason.

MemberThe only reasons I can think of to get rid of a 17-55 would be if you move into a full frame body or switch brands.

MemberYes on the POTN question.

MemberDouglas is right. The lens is where you want to spend the extra money. Cheaper lenses don’t hold value as well and can be harder to sell when you do upgrade.
