MemberPaul, I was on Canadaway, about 1 mile up from the lake. I have been walking and fishing that area since I was old enough to ride my bike to get there…30 years.
We have had a ton of fish for several weeks. I am only 40 minutes from your action. Maybe I will grab a P.A. license this year and head up to check it out. Dop me a line if you ever come down this way. I can certainly tell you where NOT to go 🙂

MemberZach, I am still wondering the same thing…not that I think I am above the law(I don’t) It doesn’t matter, no one should have been arrested. “Hey guys, Lunatic Lucy don’t want you down there no more. Stay out til we figure out what she owns” would have been sufficient. I am getting more pissed by the minute.

MemberNice, huh? There was just no reasoning to be done. This happened at 4:30. The town court we had to go to has court on Mondays at 7:00, so went then. To make a long story short, I talked to the D.A. and he called the town judge and we all got an aquital in comtemplation of dismissal. We were in and out in 10 minutes.

MemberTrooper, I have really wanted to try your method out. However, it is illegal on the streams I fish to have any weight below the fly. Regs to try to cut down on the snagging mentality left over from the bad old days of legal salmon snagging in the Great lakes tribs. I will give it a shot for inland trout fishing next spring.

Membercabela’s has some nice square aluminum cases that hold 4 rods without tubes. The problem is that they only hold 3 and 4 piece rods. I am guessing that your glass rod is a 2 piece?

MemberI have DSL from Verizon and see absolutely no problems on my end. Pages load as fast as any that I go to, which I guess is about 2-5 seconds on average.

MemberMike, Who do you suppose makes the FT rods for Cabela’s? I was pretty sure that my 1st one was a GL3. Not so sure about this one. It looks different…prettier and seems a little stiffer from just a few waggles. It is certainly a very nice rod and I wish I had more opportunity to use it.

MemberI was always under the impression that my home owner insurance would cover everything? Now you have me wondering if it is sufficient, or would even cover the most likely demise of gear-theft from your car.. I often have two rods, reels, vest, waders, jacket in my car. Easily $2000.00 worth of stuff to get stolen by some rock star. My friendly State Farm dude is getting a call on Tuesdday. Thanks for bringing up a good point to think about.

MemberNic pics! Is that a school of fish in that last shot? What are they?

MemberBill, I also think the uncondtional warranty is a good and essential idea and I want to see things stay the way they are.

Memberbox, the only reason I even saw the post in question is that I have been off work and get bored and just surf all over the place sometimes. I realized long ago what a joke the site is. I bring this up only because the opinion in question seems to be held by many and is not just the ramblings of a weirdo on a power trip.

Memberand the gold spool on black frame. I am going to keep them like this and switch my 8wt line to this spool and use the other one for my seldom used 9 wt and as a spare spool. You can see the huge difference in the spool porting from the old design.

MemberWhat did you do to your knee? Hope it’s OK…
Did you keep the antlers? They are awesome and would look really cool on the wall in a tying room.

MemberIn addition to having the best welfare benefits in the country, NY also takes care of it’s cops and fireman with 100% pay for on duty injuries. I don’t know if I can take 6 more weeks of this though…
