Here’s a few pics of some of the fish I’ve been catching on upper Priest lake lately.

Several of these. Hybrids in the 3 to 5 pound range. These are just babys! The Big boys will be up on top soon!

A few of these. LM Bass in the 1 to 4 pound range. I’ve caught a ton of these fish near the surface busting YOY Shad.

    One of these.

Note the Clouser in all the shots. IMO this is the only fly you need to catch any fish that swims. If there is a better pattern out there I haven’t found it.

The Bass are hitting a fast strip closer to the surface and the Hybrids are taking a slower strip down near the bottom. A graph is essential to finding the Hybrids unless you know where they hang out this time of year. Also look for the big schools of these

As temps start to drop and Days get shorter the water temps will start to drop quickly. Once the temps get to a more tolerable range and the death zone below the thermocline disappears the fishing will pick up in considerably. Look for the big schools of Shad in the Jefferson Springs, Fall Creek, Spring Creek area. Get there before daylight and be ready for some topwater action.

Nic pics! Is that a school of fish in that last shot? What are they?

Thanks. Yes that is a small school of Gizzard Shad. Striper candy, chicken of the lake.

I looks like the rest of the year, open to fishing. That shot would be alot cooler with a Polarized lens cover.
