First off if you are imitating sculpins don’t use deer hair use chenille figure 8 wrapped around lead eyes, sculpins are ON the bottom I mean on it.

Now for deer hair work…

i use smallish clumps of hair then I half hitch twice in front of the clump and pack those half hitches down onto the hair to keep things tight.

Seriously I really love the sage xp 8wt I’m sure the 9 wt is just as nice I also love my TFO ticrx hard to beat for the price as well.

For me though a 9 wt is overkill hence I’ll take any beater for salmon flipping

I pretty much only use uni 8/0 and 3/0 danville monocord the 16/0 uni is pretty sweet as well.

Ok, I’m to understand that we tie a minimum of 10 flies (1 extra to send to Zach) then we ship them to Patrick in whatever manner we want to get the others back in , with enough return postage for the trip and a little extra for good measure. Does that about cover it.
