Memberon my trout lines I tie a nail knot with heavy maxima ultragreen, on salmon lines I tie a loop knot at the butt end of the leader then tie a cinch knot with only 2 twists tied to the loop, works like a charm.

MemberThat skier is from a day at ALpenglow a small ski area above Anchorage in which I ski patrolled at, that day we showed up to hike up it as they are closed on week days and the ski patrol was there “doing avy control” aka getting private turns in, being a former patroller my buddy and I got pretty lucky to have our own private ski area.

MemberThe current fly fishing sims are pretty sweet but with the Wii’s nunchuck controller the double haul could be incorporated, that’ed be so freaking cool, I’d have to buy one!

MemberHook setting totally depends on the way you are fishing, for instance if you are using classic nymph or dry fly techniques (dead drift) you want to hook the fish as soon as it hits but if you are pulling steamers or swinging a wet fly when the fish hits just wait a second or two or continue striping one of two things will happen, the fish will grab it and turn or it will have the fly “swim” out of its mouth and attack it again.
