    Great podcast Zach and Dan, my favorite one yet. Two thumbs up!

    “you don’t need fluorocarbon leader”

    Other then price isn’t fluro much superior in several ways to mono for a leader. Why would you not use it?

    He’s probably thinking in terms of price and also, due to fluoro’s hardness, I’ve heard knots on heavy tippets don’t tend to set as well – any thoughts?

    Obviously using fluoro isn’t going to hurt anything, though.

    What I have found is, tying a clinch knot and not a improved clinch works best.
