MemberBadass Zach can’t wait for the show,
Next time just let those AEG guys know when they are ready to be trout bums in AK to give me a call I got the bum thing down

MemberMaybe I’ll give a worm a shot on the russian this summer, just out of curiosity… Zach your not alone in your never catching fish on a worm (can’t say I’ve ever even thought of fishing one though)

MemberI’d just use it man, as soon as you throw a strike indicator on there the front taper doesn’t really matter, that reminds me I need to chop the front taper off one of my lines so I can splice on a sink tip…
Actually you should buy a new floater and some T-14 and make a nice little 75 grain sink tip!

MemberBuy a pair of binoculars? Otherwise you gotta drill a threaded 1/4″ hole which takes some machining, or you could use duct tape

MemberI don’t really remeber fish, just days and seasons on the water, I guess my favorite was the second steelhead I ever caught.

MemberBrowns are starting to spawn now right? That explains the belly look at this post spawn rainbow:

When the fish go into their spawning runs they get old and kinda nasty, I bet the fish above is now silver as a steelheadpatrick mccormick
MemberIts not there any more but I always thought the learning to fly shop in whitehorse had a cool name, and hat
patrick mccormick
Memberyou will find no “fly fishing specific gear” on me unless it is a fly rod for that very reason.

MemberIs that real salmon or fake salmon? (how much is real salmon down there anyway?)
Anyway to all: If you like wild salmon (I assume most of us do) eat wild salmon, and not that dye enhanced, mass produced, wild salmon killing, ocean killing crap…
Anyhow the best salmon recipie I know is on a BBQ, put a bit of olive oil some creole, some lemon pepper and a pinch of garlic salt on it, have the BBQ really hot, I mean like flames and stuff, sear the flesh side for like a minute, flip (to skin side, leave skin on) turn down the heat and cover.

Member2 options as I see it:
-Fish at 25 feet or there abouts with a gold cone head black and ginger wooly bugger, trolling slowly usually works
-Fish in the evenings and/or wait for it to get colder and let hatches get going

MemberSurprise Surprise:))- I,m going to come at this from a different perspective..
Just as there are many levels of guides- there are also many levels of clients:)))
Clients choose guides based on reputation etc etc – guides get the clients they get!!!!
A good guide will- given no other info- size up a client on meeting them and some cursory chat,
