    Its the karst.

    *Edit*

Here is some information about karst topography.  Basically, the color is caused by water flowing over soluble rocks, both limestone and dolomite in Slovenia’s case.  The rock is dissolved by the water which gives it that milky appearance.  The dissolved rock, as well as a stream bed composed of that same type of rock, is what gives the water its emerald color.

They break up your outline so the fish have a more difficult time spotting you, right?

I do not think there are more fishermen now than then.

A lot of these ‘destination’ type waters were, and in many cases still are, located in sparsely populated areas.  Twenty and thirty years ago most people were not taking vacations to fishing destinations.  Today, there are countless anglers from all corners of the country and/or world traveling to these places to fish.  Of course there are going to be more fishermen fishing these waters than there were in the past, but that doesnt necessarily mean there are more fishermen.

Is the fishing worse?  Maybe, maybe not.  Maybe the fish just aren’t as stupid as they were when there was less people fishing.

The green is much, much less work friendly than the light blue.

Your opinion on this matter is suspect since there is a pretty good chance your wife is reading this at this very moment…

    Russian rangefinders and glass.

I also leave them in the parking lots of streams for others to find.  Wait, only the glass on that one was Russian.  The body was German…   :'(

    Still pissed.

If you see a good deal, jump on it no matter how far in advance it is.

I couldnt find a flight to Idaho Falls for under $600 this summer and I have 3 major intenational airports to choose from.

$207/person is great and well worth an extra couple hours of driving.
