MemberCameron is a big fan of the Tenkara system. I borrowed his a couple of years ago while we were fishing the Taylor River, and was quite surprised. I caught a trout on my first cast, and enjoyed the challenge of bringing the fish to hand.
It is actually quite versatile, when we fished the Arkansas a couple of days later, I watched Cameron catch quite a few trout on some pretty big water. As I recall, he used a two nymph rig for at least part of the day, and caught some big browns.
