I just fished a Parker Bamboo four weight this weekend that had a Winston (Hardy) Perfect reel on it.

Most people tend to fish hoppers when it is very hot and sunny out, which is natural hopper weather.

I have not fished that river…one of the things that I need to do is spend some more time up north… sounds like a great place to fish some ponds.
