Joel ThompsonMemberI leave tomorrow for my third journey to New Zealand. I will be trying to set up a fresh water fly fishing program at my bosses lodge. The lodge is called Wharekauhau and is pretty upscale. I plan on posting as much as I can on my Montana Troutaholic Outfitters facebook page so if any of you are interested you can see what I am up to there.
I hope to hook up with Tim Angeli while I am there and when my wife joins me at the end of March we will be getting our fish rage on with our good buddy Simon! Can’t wait!

Stu HastieMemberHmm. Not a good time to be flying into Christchurch at all. I think the airport is now closed to international flights, so if that was your initial destination, you may find you get diverted to Wellington, or even Auckland.
It’s a hellish mess in CHCH. 69 deaths at last count, and climbing.Tight lines Joel.

I will be flying into Wellington. Horrible about the quake in Christchurch. My thoughts and prayers go out to all my mates there. I hope everyone is ok.

Simon ChuMemberJoel
I’ll touch base when you hit NZ.
Christchurch is not good and much of the nation is in shock.
Everybody is chipping in and its time like this when everybody gets together and humananity can win through.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those that have lost their lives and loved ones.Mar 1, 2011 at 8:02 pm #47311hamish carnachan
MemberHi Joel. I’m a buddy of Tim Angeli’s, just moved to Wellington from Auckland. How long are you in/around Wellington for(?), I could show you around some rivers if I haven’t already missed you…
