MemberWell guys I am getting my first 2 handed rod in about a month, so I’m also dedicating myself to tying some nice big juicy streamers as well.
These are some basics that I have tied up lately. I need to start working on the Feenstra type patterns as well.

MemberJust have a couple of cocktails and enjoy the fact that you saved money, that’s usually what I do.
Always the option of also trying to get an exit row the day of, or stop by the airport the night before and check in (you can’t usually pick exit rows online).

MemberThe only caution i have, is that i hated the rod when casting it with a 3 wt line on it – it felt lifeless. It Definatly needs to be overlined.
Eric, I totally agree with you with my 3 weight also.

MemberHey guys,
I got bored and just bought a new camera, so I figured I’d take pics of the swap flies.
mark s
MemberMatt, very nice work.

MemberI just got a 3 wt. this summer (a TFO) and I love fishing it around here (I live in Arlington).
mark s
MemberGot mine on Saturday and they caught fish on Sunday.

MemberDave,
Check your PM – I floated it this weekend.
mark s
MemberTim,
You officially got me fired up.
mark s
MemberIf you guys are talking about PA/OH now, I would definitely be interested for a late November trip.
mark s
MemberAaron,
I talked to Tim last night, he’s on the road but not near a computer.

MemberWelcome Ethan. I used to be an Ohio guy (Cleveland), then I came to my senses and moved to Michigan…only kidding (football season is close by after all!).
Erie steelheading is a good time – I went last year for the first time and even though the temperature was in the single digits, I still had a good time. Bob is right, lots of smart people here, and it’s a good group.
This is what you have to look forward to:
Again, welcome.

MemberAaron,
Love that pic of the river with the fog on it – reminds me of a early morning float and that first cup of coffee with the cold morning air.

MemberKevin,
I’m not familiar with the product you’re talking about, but if it’s waders that are similar to pants, Dan Bailey’s has some that I noticed in their recent catalog: http://www.dan-bailey.com/products_dbwaders.htm
I think you might be talking about the Waist Hi’s? Supposedly Dan Bailey’s waders are very nice – I don’t own a pair but I’ve heard good things.

MemberMine went out as well – Crazy Charlie’s in Tan.
mark s
MemberEric,
Check your PMs.
mark s
MemberI’ve used Feathercraft and Dan Baileys – both are good. Nice part is that you can actually email someone and an actual human responds to the emails.
I called Dan Bailey’s once to check on my order and lo and behold, a person answered the phone, walked over to look at my order, and checked it to make sure it had everything I ordered.
mark s
MemberVery nice Scott.
mark s
MemberMissed me as well – Crazy Charlies.

MemberTim’s flies are worthless – Aaron, I suggest you don’t let him in this swap.
