Happened to be in the area a bit early this year. The river has had some water in it so I decided to give it a go.
You know you are close to the border when when you hit Timmy’s for breakfast.
The river was the perfect color for steelheading.
Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. I got lucky and put a good drift in front of one of the few fish in the river. (sorry….the photo is aweful…I wasnt the snapping the photo)
It was the first time I landed a steelhead in August. Its still too early…temps in the lake need to drop another 6 degrees before things really can pick up.
