    Zach,
Get on NGTO and ask the DNR guys, under the DNR forum, and I am sure you will get the biology answer you are searching for.  I know there was some talk recently about smallmouth inthe hooch, below Morgan Falls dam.
There are many guys over there that will have an opinion, and some of them have biology backgrounds, too.
    Good luck with your research.
    Keith

PS – Zach, I just found this after posting the above text.

I have seen some pictures on a couple of other boards, and it is not pretty! Boats full of dead fish and lines of dead fish floating like trash in a current. :'(

I just looked at the Kwan and it is a pretty simple looking fly to tie, and pretty neat story behind the creation…”Show me the money!”

I was using a single sided blade, a spare one I took from a utility knife.
I know it is not the type I have seen in many pictures, but does it really matter as long as it is a razor?

Last summer when I fished te Hilton Head area the people I fished with said the Copper Head was a killer fly, but it was loosing some punch because so many people had learned about its fish catching ability.

    Awesome!
    Thanks Zach.
I was almost hooked on S&C a couple of years ago, but I kicked the habit (never bought anything)
My wife may get tired of hearing about this site as much as S&C
