Any information regarding this subject will be much appreciated! I am heading to Blue Ridge this weekend and am in great need of info… Upper vs Lower? what flies to use? where to camp?
Aesthetic value and solitude rank equally with catching fish…

    Thanks!

Regarding the lower, there is no place to camp (All Private) and TVA is doing a lot of generating so wading is pretty much out.

I can’t comment about the upper other than saying there are plenty of park land/National Forrest camp areas available.

Upper Toccoa is a sort of designated canoe park.

Zach, the upper toccoa is where the DH water is. It is typically good through the spring. should be off of aska road area.

Ditto on unicoi, they can get you set up. If you are taking a boat to the lower toccoa keep in mind that there are no real boat ramps so eat your wheaties
