J.T. GriffinMemberI think it’s easier to do now because of the web. I bet most on the board have seen running down the man which was of the first videos to go “viral.”. Now with YouTube it’s even easier to spread the word.
I bet in 1995, a film/phenom like RDTM would not have been possibe
J.T. GriffinMemberIf I was going to buy a new trout rod, I would buy the G2 but in a 4 wt. I would use it for nymph’s and dries. I would use a 6 for streamers or in situations where it is super windy.
You can’t have just one rod, right?
J.T. GriffinMemberI give the Deschutes Angler a call.
J.T. GriffinMemberGreat job.
J.T. GriffinMemberThat should be a great trip. I’ve read that you can catch snook from the beach early morning.
J.T. GriffinMemberJust watched it today.
J.T. GriffinMemberZach, I crab in the Chesapeake Bay.
J.T. GriffinMemberThere was a great Seinfield about the exclamation involoving Elaine as an editor.
Thanks for sharing these thoughts Phil.
J.T. GriffinMemberI had a chance to throw a s4s and it is one sweet rod.
J.T. GriffinMemberI love my Tibor Everglades reel. Love the cork drag, the sound it makes when a bonefish is pulling backing off it, and the bonefish I have engraved on it is just the right amount of bling.
J.T. GriffinMemberJust bite the bullett and get an Abel or a Tibor. If your going to be bonefishing or if you hook into a big striper, your going to want a reel to back you up.
I like the hatch reels, too, but by that point your not that far from an Abel or Tibor.
I’m a big fan of the cork drag.
J.T. GriffinMemberrob, it’s true for Virginia too. Apparently some states are exempt depending on what they require for their own licenses. This year is free to register, but next year it will cost.
Not sure how I feel about this. I visited noaas web site and it is vague on what they are doing. I’m happy to pay my fair share, but if uncle Sam wants me to pay money to tell me the Chesapeake Bay is dying that’s a load of crap. We all know it is, what will the money do to help fix it.
J.T. GriffinMemberHow about a Scott A3?
J.T. GriffinMemberHow about a Scott A3?
J.T. GriffinMember😀
excellent Zach. Thank you.
J.T. GriffinMemberJay, I’m glad you brought that up. I can never read TIF either and I thought something was wrong with me. I think it tries too hard.
Zach, good point about getting what you pay for.
J.T. GriffinMemberok, we’re patiently waiting 😮
good luck with the articles
J.T. GriffinMemberI know, I know the smallmouth fishing here is much better. ::) For some reason I’ve got trout on the mind. (last year it was bonefish). I’m sure I’ll come full circle and learn to love the smallies.
Thanks for all the tips guys.
