By the way Simon there will be a little something going in the mail for you today! ๐
Joel
Joel ThompsonMemberJust saw this post after posting the same thing. I am having problems as well with Cameron….I mean my PM messages.
Joel ThompsonMemberGreat stuff Brent! Seems very appropriate for the Memorial day weekend. Good to see how Fly Fishing can put a smile on someones face even in the worst of places!
Joel
Joel ThompsonMemberMy wife and I fly fish together as often as we can. I think it is great and enjoy having her there with me.
I would really love it if my wife learned how to tie flies cuz I suck at it!
Joel
Joel ThompsonMembernine footer Duncan. The PM wouldn’t work. Kept getting an error message.
Joel ThompsonMemberNeal, I am a litte hurt that you would actually think that I would think those were dogs! ๐ฎ Just kidding Neal!
Cam you are already in the dog house with my wife by calling her a cheater in a different thread are you sure you want to get Riley on your bad side as well?
Due to a hard drive issue I lost most of my good fishing dog photo’s and have not had the boy out since this photo was taken.

I will try to come up with something better soon…..

Joel ThompsonMemberClint when I say quickie I mean quickie! I had a client and we maybe spent 20 minutes at the spot!
Lando, I might see you there Tuesday morning if I can drag my butt out of bed. Fish for a couple of hours and then head to work.
Joel
Joel ThompsonMemberRick I agree with Clint. Stick to the Beav or the MO. The Big Hole was high and Muddy when I was there on Saturday and more is on the way!
There are a lot of great lakes to fish in the Seeley Swan if you are interested in the flat water stuff.
Joel
Joel ThompsonMemberTuesday, May 27.
You have been warned.
Over.
Warning heard and accepted Hippie Man! I am working at having the 28th off at this point. Hopefully it will all work out. If not I will surely hook up with you in the evening for a cold adult beverage or two.
I went to the spot for a quicky yesterday. No fish. BRIGHT sun and eighty degrees didn’t help. >:( I hope it rains while you are here cuz that would be happy happy happy!
Moosedog
Joel ThompsonMemberTaskmaster? I think I kind of like that title! And I believe me Ron I have many more tasks for you this spring! I love this training stuff guys. It is nice to get some fishing time in for a change!
Ron has improved much and I am confident that he will improve a lot more as we get closer too our season. There is a lot to learn when it comes to rowing and guiding from a boat. Nothing worse than missed opportunities that could have been avoided if the oarsman was planning ahead. On the river you always need to be planning your next move all while watching flies, looking for fish, watching for other anglers, and keeping your eyes open to any potential hazzards. A lot of stuff too keep track of but with practice it does become second nature.
Cam Deb is going to kick your ass for publicly saying she cheats at cards! If skiing up to the cabin ain’t a problem for her then I don’t 1500 miles is far enough for you buddy! ๐
Joel
Joel ThompsonMemberKevin that is almost spot on but I was thinking the whale should have the shirt on and the poodle and monkey I will have too tell you about in private…. ::)
Joel ThompsonMemberGreat shots John! Check out this link for a different type of fish in flight! I know it will be right up your alley! http://www.miguellasa.com/photos/sspopup.mg?AlbumID=1001578
Joel

5) Parachute Ant
6) Parachute Grasshopper
7) Pheasant tail nymph
8) San Juan Worm
9) sparkle pupa (caddis)
10) Big Horn BuggerFor pictures Kevin go to http://www.montanafly.com
Joel
Joel ThompsonMemberLooks like a good addition too your very nice website Scott. Did you build your own site?
Joel
Joel ThompsonMemberIt is indeed a pretty great spot! Those mountains are a little bit of a drive but the people at the Bighorn resort are great! Great pick up of a sponsor Zach! Hopefully you will get to go visit! ๐
Joel
Joel ThompsonMemberCool post Hippie Man! I have often wondered that myself. It seems too me like it is mostly mid-west and east to south east but I guess we will soon find out!
Joel ThompsonMemberNeal one thing missing from your report that I am curious about. What were the fishing eating for you? Do they have a pellet fly? One of the new patterns that Montana Fly Co. has this year is called Dog Puke but it doesn’t look anything like a piece of dog food.
Joel ThompsonMemberGreat post Neal! Those are some nice fat fish! Do they bark when you take them out of the water? ๐
It is an amazing thing how a tape measure can put size back into perspective isn’t it. There must be something about adrenaline that makes us see things bigger than they are!
Just curious about one thing. How many times were you caught up in those trees during the day? Looks like it was a very good day to work on your roll cast!
Joel
Joel ThompsonMemberDone! ๐
Joel
Joel ThompsonMemberย I get some kind of trademark protection on both of them.
Jeff
Already done Jeff! It is very inexpensive thing to get so I got it for both the logo and the name.
