MemberCongrats Joel,
now tell Ron to break out that Whitney’s Gone Fishing Pale Ale I sent out your way, but rename it to Joel’s Troutaholic Pale Ale.
Hope to shake your hand in early July.

MemberGreat idea Woodsman!!
Kevin, a little help with the new beer bottle lable?
I was thinking the word Montana above the Neon Fish, with David’s suggestion under the fish?
You don’t want me to hack it up!

MemberRon,
I was digging through the Cattle Creek Site and after corresponding with you and Joel, I think I need to be heading that direction soon. We try to do a yearly visit to a different national park and I believe Glacier might be the next one. I also have a good friend moving to Boise which could make for a good fishing vacation – A trip from Boise to Glacier.
Sounds like you all have a good time up there.

MemberKevin,
Bring it!
You can stay at my shack and I’ll trade you room and board for a little artwork. Long as you don’t mind sleeping on a cot and eating burritos. Plus I’ll throw in the map to Joel’s honey holes for free.
Course, you may have to let him row you down the river one day to get to them but I’m sure he’s up for it.
In my opinion, this area is one of Montana’s least famous great spots left.

MemberMe and the boss started working on the itinerary last night. She is probably itching for water time more than I am.
AND As I have told Joel. Time to stop the itching and start the scratching.

MemberGood job on the test Joel…I have no doubt that you are going to be one hell of an outfitter…certain people have a gift to do that, and you are one of them.
Nice name for the biz as well

Thanks Mike! You don’t have to say those nice things if you don’t want…I will still let you use the cabin! 😉

MemberMoosedog-
I know an Orvis-endorsed guide in N. Texas, and he relies only on his status as an O’-endorsed guide to generate business. To my knowledge, he does not advertise otherwise. And if he can make a sustainable living in N. Texas as a fly-fishing guide, I would think you could do the same in a place like MT w/o breaking the bank to generate clientele.

Joel ThompsonMemberDusty, I am not worried to much about finding clientele. Right now 100% of them come from here. http://www.rockcreekcattlecompany.com This is something I will be growing slowly so that if I ever need too I can fall back on it.
Orvis does a great job promoting their endorsed guides! There is no doubt about that!
