Just today started seeing them at my place. Must be very tasty, my Boykin and Treeing Mountain First were hunting them while I was working with the tractor. If the fish will take to them

first quality rod I purchased was in 1985, a T&T Supra-Lite 7’6″ #4 wonderful rod, has many, many miles on it in the Smokies. Will own it when I leave this side of eternity.

Congrats on the heirloom piece from dad, glad your dad is staying busy, through out my life I’ve watched people I know retire go home and sit down, bury them within 6 months.

    I had a 15’4″, then a 15’6″ Classic, a LT25 with Line-X and a 25hp 4 stroke jet, and now another 15’4″.

Gheenoes are not jet boats, jon boats are, I know I played Guinea Pig and payed the stupid tax.

Do you have any pics to post?  This is the price range I am looking in.
Cannot decide between john boat, riverhawk, gheenoe.

    Thanks.

I can ad opinion to your boat usage, I have owned 4 Gheenoes, I have one now for my smaller tailwater and have a 16′ jon with a 60/40 Mercury jet for bigger tailwaters.

I took the suspender system that came with my Simms bag and worked on it. On top of my bag is two “male” and on the bottom is two “female” nylon clips. The straps have a male and female on each strap, I fixed that with a razor blade, cut the thread that secured the webbing, removed the female clip and installed the male.

I will test it tomorrow, tomorrow is set aside for Fishing.

it’s illegal to hunt any migratory bird with more than 3 shells, don’t think about removing the plug.

I use 2 Umpqua Pro Guide large boxes, one for nymphs and one for midges

I use 3 standard C&F, one for wet, one for dry and one for egg.

Worms go in a small Dewitt

    1 Bugger Barn for Skipjack

3 Bugger Beast, one for big gaudy streamers, one for Stripper/Bass, one for poppers for Bass/Panfish

I’m always on the lookout for flyboxes that fit my wants and desires, think I’m there for the time being. ;D

    YES,

gave in and got on from Renzetti last year, what a difference it makes, our older eyes don’t focus like they use to and this gives you one focal point, the fly.

I enjoy reading these things but take them with a big grain of salt, what I liked the most was the Buy it now buttons under the stuff they were bragging on.

I ask a friend in the industry recently why they had never been a major player, he said was told that was not their business model or desires to be a Sage.

I’ve worn Smith Action Optics Clearwater Copper for years, I was going to give the Costa 580 a try (lots of friends swear by them), but after research (their site sucks) and making a call to Costa, they don’t do the 580 in bi-focal or prescriptions, so looks like another pair of Padre’s for me.

I sold a TiCr-X #8 and replaced it with the BVK #8, main use is floating tailwater under generation, 300 gr SA Streamer Express.

At the Southern Conclave last month, I cast the #5, 7, & 8. My bud and I took the #5 BVK out with a #5 Sage Z-Axis, the Sage was a little overall smoother, and as Larry said, it wasn’t $400 smoother and we both have a wall full of Sage rods. 😉 I think they have a winner.
