Rob and Tom have been in contact with each other, we have a float trip booked with him through WestBank Anglers for the 18th.

Looking forward to meeting you Rob, and like you I will have a good day just by the surrounds I will be in.

I met Tom from selling him a Gheenoe, we hit it off from the first word and have been constant angling buds since.

I have the new Simms true waist highs and are very satisfied.

To answer questions and give input.

I’ll always camped at Pebble as soon as I could get over there, always have a few days booked along the lake or at Madison Junction. Never looked in RV sites.

May have to take a small charger and buy a car battery at parts store.

As to going a night or two without it, I wouldn’t take a nap without it, I’ve fallen asleep a couple of times, sick headed and dizzy when I finally get going again.

I mentioned my condition to my Dr., an avid outdoorsman, he looked at me and said you don’t have the build of a typical sleep disorder person but you described it to a tee.

I put a meter on mine, running AC, CPAC is pulling 40 watts at 120 V.

Of the 4 levels of sleep, I was barely making it into the 2nd level, for the last year or so I was looking at the clock more than I was alseep, couldn’t drive to town without almost running off the road, coming to and be sitting in the middle of the road stopped, thank God I was one who slowed down instead of flooring it when I started going out.

As I tell people to make a point, I like the company of a woman and love my wife dearly, but she will leave the bedroom before my CPAP ;D

My best fishing bud who will be coming out with me, had the surgery coming up on two years ago, broke his jaws, wired him shut and the whole 9 yards. He was wired shut for 5 months. Got staph infection.

I had knee surgery 7 years ago and got staph, spent 8 days in the hosp with 3 different needles running antibotics in me, antibotics quit working and finally found something that worked, I was weak for over 6 months, temp got up to 105.6, thought I was a dead man.

So for that reason, I steer away from any surgery unless I just have to have it.

a photo my bud took of me keeling on the bank of Soda Butte Cr, just downstream of Pebble Cr. Feeding hoppers to late fall Cutties.

wrap thread on hook shank, under cones position. you can slide a bead under back side of cone and then treat it with super glue, let it dry and cone is secure.

spin deer hair like the cone is the eye of the hook.

but it is so smoooooooooth. motor came for Atlanta MSC. I sent the photos to my fishing bud, he’s a saltwater guru, he ask if I was going to be drying Elephants on it.

I have a carry permit and carry 99.999999% of the time, I’d say that rabbit will have a bad day, last thing he will see it a lead slug coming his way from my Kahr P45 ;D

in reply to: Rabbit Fur Strips #57022

I agree, been tying longer than most on this board has been breathing, my fishing bud is a rod/reel junkie, we give each other a hard time. He has a big percentage of the Tibor’s ever produced 😉

    in reply to: Madonna #57223

never used the Madonna, but the Conehead Twin Tail Madonna in Tan is a go to fly for me.

    Mike,

Having spent quite a bit of time in the area you posted photos of, I’d like to say Thank You.

I keep an eye on the web cams out in your part of the world and enjoy the snow that way. Sure wish we got snow in Tennessee

I love it, can float across 6″ shoals with no problem, and I’d say less, never actually taken a ruler and measured but we keep saying we are.

I’ say going upstream on plane can run over 4″ water.

in reply to: Remember the Simms Camouflage Waders? #32907

These are my chest highs, get some weird looks when people come close and see the Simms name on them.

Don’t know if it’s true or flyshop hype, but was told I got one of the last pair out of the factory.

They are XL and when I get the waist highs will be all but retired, Simms may want them back for display someday 😉

in reply to: Wading Pants #33563

I’ve been wanting a pair for quite some time, I rarely wade deep. My dealer told me to hold out for the new true Simms waist highs and not get the convertible.

Since I have the customGheenoe LT25 with Jet outboard, waders are used to launch the boat and wade the shallows.
