I’ve just discovered the Rio Selective trout line in double taper on my 3 weight rods – it’s an awesome line and seems to suit everything from the slower glass to the faster graphite.

Only problem is, I can’t find one here in OZ in a 2 weight and I reallly really think this will be the line for my new #2 ZXL.

Do any of the retailers on here have one in stock in the dark olive color that would be interested in posting it to Australia ?

I need it sooner rather than later..

PM me with price and I can either pay over the phone with a Visa or a bank transfer.

    Cheers.

If you like a double taper line and you don’t have any luck getting a Selective Trout Line you mighty consider the Sage Quiet Double Taper.
I have a Sage LL 8’9″ 3 weight that I use it on and it works great.
I think the ZXL action is similar to the LL. I have a 8’5″ 4 weight ZXL and it seems a lot like the LL just a little more backbone. I use a weight forward Selective Trout Line on it in the stealthy green of course.

Thanks David, I already have a Quiet taper, and I love it on my SLT #2, and it’s very good on the ZXL, I just want to try the Rio as well.

I agree the ZXL is like an LL with a bit extra grunt – they are IMHO the best light rods Sage have ever made.
I’ve had the 8’6 #3 for a while, but I was a bit cut up they didn’t do a 2 when the new model was released.

I’m just getting familiar with the 2 over grass and taking it out for it’s first run on the small streams this week – hopefully I’ll have a good review when I get back.

The 3 ZXL is magic with the Rio DT so I have a feeling it’s going to sing on the 2.
