Ha, I’ve invented how not to do alot of things…but I def. wont be making a video of it.
Nice Work Zach, I think it is a pretty good twist on a pretty good concept.
I always use a nail knot tool as well, but i agree 100 percent that the perfection loop is vital, and we rarely use it, which is why time after time i think to myself, man i wish i remembered how to tie this knot.
Oh i know what you mean Dave, and wasn’t suggesting that you wounded birds, or that i wounded birds…. Just saying, if they dont do it the way i want them too, i let them walk, i know i could kill it, but for me, its not about the kill, its about the trickeration.
Gorgeous Tie…any insight to the time you have into that fly?
Is it a fly you fish or just an art fly?
This is a tough decision….I would have to put this photo up, although i’m not even sure it is the best from the series.
When i was making my wooden boxes i used the peel and stick foam inserts that you could buy. It came with a rippled side and a flat side, the key to getting them to “not pop out” was to make sure they weren’t in too tight, that is to say, that there was a millimeter or so of space around the edges of the inside of the box. That and keeping them dry helped me out. The boxes were pretty to look at, but not as practical as a CF design so i rarely use them anymore.
BTW for what it is worth, this is absolutely related to fly fishing, and i dont think you need to apologize, i am however, not zach, so i can’t speak for him, but nonetheless i’m not offended.
