    Hi guys,
I thought I’d share a few shots I took over a weekend trip, just prior to Xmas. Hope they help you all beat those winter blues…

    Any criticism/comments greatly appreciated.

I think I’ve gone too contrasty with this one?

    Fantastic pictures.

How is water generally managed in NZ? Could anyone with the capacity to get to this lake fish it? Are most of the rivers public or private? Thanks and sorry for getting off topic.

That is Mr Chu in a few of those photos Neal.

Thanks Steve. That was probably the highlight of my weekend, shooting that beautiful fish in amongst the buttercups. It was very fortunate we had the sun out at that time. About 10 minutes later we were in a torrential thunderclap downpour.

Chris, we are very fortunate in that we don’t have very much “private” water at all, and for the cost of a season licence, about $100NZ, you can fish just about anywhere, so long as you have either public access or the landowners permission. A few links to google…
