Cameron MortensonMemberGreat water shot PoudreRiver.
Cameron MortensonMemberPersonally I’d shy away from the purple or pink outfits.
Cameron MortensonMemberThere are things to catch on a fly besides trout? Ummmmmmm…
I’d like to see a photo or two of a burbot if you have it Prairiespey.
I’ve caught the usual warmmouth suspects…striper, largemouth, smallmouth, bluegills, crappie, pike, and pickerel.
Future goal is to catch a gar out of Lake Murray. There are many over four feet long and heavy.
Cameron MortensonMemberI am halfway through this weeks podcast…great interview and information so far.
Cameron MortensonMemberWell it is good to see that others have had a great experience with Mike.
Cameron MortensonMemberI picked up the latest issue of American Angler yesterday at B&N and read the article.
Cameron MortensonMemberPancho…check your message box.
Cameron MortensonMemberI am just throwing an idea out here…the six weight V2 rod is pretty solid and has enough bone to use for both big water nymphing and streamers.
Cameron MortensonMemberSteve…I didn’t know that the “Thin Blue Line” involved holding and using fly rods…
Cameron MortensonMemberGREAT LOOKING NET!
Cameron MortensonMemberI guess I’ll throw this in since we’re on a tippet thread…
Cameron MortensonMemberCheck out http://www.brodin.com.
Cameron MortensonMemberWhat size is the J W Young reel?
Cameron MortensonMemberYeah…I am pretty damn lucky. Not only does she do the little things like make a trout crust on her apple pies…but she also puts up with the obsessions (fly fishing, fly tying, trips, and a work schedule with last minute changes) and everything else that she shouldn’t have to.
PoudreRiver…ah yes…the Southern Wedding…
Cameron MortensonMemberYeah…we’ve have made it a nice weekend of relaxation.
Cameron MortensonMemberI think that ‘gill was in the middle of saying, “OHHHHHH SHHHHIIIITTTT!!!!”….” when you snapped that photograph.
Cameron MortensonMemberI may not like the direction where Winston is going as a company right now…but the LT series of fly rods are really sweet sticks.
Cameron MortensonMember(I wrote a nice long reply to this thread last night…but then the 14 month daughter started hitting buttons on the computer and the post was lost somehow.
Cameron MortensonMemberWell…not only was the fellow late…but upon arrival to the river he blew through about two dozen flies through break offs on fish…logs…branches…everything that could grab a fly…did.
So I am back to the vise again later this week since I have a three day trip coming up at the end of next week.
Cameron MortensonMemberAwww…give it a try Steve154…what is another charge now that you are living a life of crime…ha.
Since I’ve been using the short rods…in the seven to eight foot category…I’ve been using short leaders in the seven and a half foot length.
