Two setups actually.
Saltwater a Batson Rainshadow RX8+ 9′, 8wt with a Lamson Litespeed 3.5 and SA Mastery Redfish line.

I use fluorcarbon most of the time for tippets, but I fish most of the time in saltwater, where abrasion resistance and sinking ability is more important.

We use squid flies a lot in saltwater, particularly in open water.

Kwan

I tie it with a weed guard.  I also add rubber legs sometimes, particularly if reds a feeding on crab.  It is sort of a crab/shrimp immitation.  I use synthetic carpet yarn on mine and brush it out to get a smoother appearance. I use either bead chain eyes or lead eyes depending on depth I am fishing.  Here is a link to some basic instructions.

Prince of Tides

I tie this in a variety of colors from white to dark brown or rust.  It is an easy tie, just make sure you don’t put too much bend in the hook shank.  30 deg at most.  I usually use a large clear or amber larva lace for the body, underwraped with a gold mylar, but you can use a heavy mono.

For redfish, my favorite fly is a Kwan in light or dark brown, or even a mix of light and dark.
