I fish out of a kayak in saltwater, so anything I say will probably not apply to anyone else.  I like the Planos because they are cheap, they are clear so I can see in them without opening them and I can beat the crap out of them and not feel bad, but I also like to keep the saltwater out.  With that in mind, I will probably be replacing my 3600 Pro Latch with a 3640 Water Proof.  The great thing about this, is they both cost about $8.00. 🙂

My two most used boxes are Plano 3600 Pro Latch Stowaways, but then I’m mostly using big streamers and I’m Cheap.

I wrapped the rod, which is a deep brown color, with candy apple red thread and no color preserver.  This ends up a ruby red when the finish is applied because of the dark brown under it.   The trim bands on the reel hood are also thread wraped, however, I had to use a darker maroon color over the gold.  Once the finish was applied, it came out a close match to the wrap finish on the rod.

I use cork burl rings a lot in my grips now.

By starting with a name on this forum, I was able to find out when they were going to be out of town, their office address, their home address, their wifes name and their occupation.  It took be about 5 minutes and I’m not great at internet research.  Given an hour, a good researcher could have their life history.

I have no problem posting under my real name on this forum because I believe it is populated by honest people with a common interest, but there is nothing stopping a crook from posting under an alias that looks like a real name.

As I said, I can see Zach’s point, but recognize it is a double edged sword.  I try to be careful about posting anything that has to do with my schedule on this forum.  For example, I just got back from two weeks in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, but could not post my plans on this forum in advance.

I watched the USA v England game also and it was enjoyable, particularly since the USA got out alive.

I coached youth league soccer and know quite a bit about the game, but, Americans just don’t get excited about soccer once the kids reach football age.  It’s a great game.  I would do away with goal tenders though, so you would have lots of scoring like basketball.  Can you imagine how exciting it would be to see a soccer score of 85 to 84.
