MemberRob – I hope your toes aren’t the ones with the toenail polish.

MemberI guess there are missed fishing opportunities at every turn in our lives.

MemberRob, unless you’re going to be able to get out of Paris for a couple of days dedicated to fishing, I would leave the fly fishing stuff at home and just enjoy the city.

MemberI live 10,000 miles away, and you still got me to read this post.

MemberMy attitude during school (almost twenty years ago) could be adequately described by “The faster you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up”, and only slightly improved upon with “If you wait until the last minute, it only takes a minute to do”.

MemberI do not believe that current 4 pc rods cast any worse than their 2 pc counterparts.

MemberRob,
I have had the pleasure of knowing, and working with and for some great people while in the AF, but one in particular stands out.

MemberLooks like great fun.

MemberNeal, I think calling people Mister is a sign of respect, especially here in Asia, and except for two or three people I fish with regularly, I am not quite comfortable calling most by their given names.

MemberThanks guys – the fish grafitti was definitely put there by the village as an art project, not some kid.

MemberIt’s been a year of travels for me.

MemberI try to keep it to things I don’t have to cool or heat up.

MemberI’ll admit that when it comes to travelling and fishing, I’ve been pretty lucky (thanks to the USAF).
bill webster
MemberI also love fishing in the snow.

MemberWhen you accidentally catch the fly line in your mouth, it’s not nearly as cool as when Ms. Park does it on purpose.

MemberThere certainly are a lot of options missing (steelheading, salmon, wading large streams, etc.).

MemberNeal – Thanks for the interest.
I do not know who made that reel, but I did notice the carbon side plate. Sometimes communication is a little difficult.
As far as Google Earth goes, I think you’ll find none of the roads or river names show up. Here are a few of the places I’ve been. For those that speak Korean, I’m sorry if I butcher these names.
DongNamChon (37deg19’1.83″N, 128deg41’0.90″E) – This is where I caught the rainbow in the picture.
NaerInChon (37deg52’38.67″N, 128deg19’35.02″E) – Lenok stream
ImBukCheon (38deg11’44.78″N, 128deg19’45.28″E) – another Lenok stream with some rainbows
HuCheon (38deg04’27.55″N, 128deg37’38.08″E) – Chum Salmon run this river in the Fall
I hope none of you consider this hotspotting. Not really a destination fishery anyway.
Happy Holidays everyone
Bill
Sorry I forgot – here’s the site of the fly shop less than a klick from the house.
