The grip is kinda unconventional, but I like it. It’s what Dave prefers to put on a 5wt, and when I cast his I thought it fit me just right. Hopefully in a few weeks I’ll get to try this one, as well.
The builder is Dave Norling out of Minnepolis, MN.
I want to start to figure out catching Stripers in the local tailwater.
I would like to finally catch a fish in Florida salt water.
I’d like to try fishing the Little Pigeon and some of the North Carolina GSMNP streams.
I want to take my niece fishing for brook trout in MN.
I’d like to catch one trout at 18 inches or over on the Clinch.
I want to finish tying 14 dozen flies for Casting for Recovery.I was actually thinking something quite similar.
Understand that the XP was “the” rod at the local shop when I started fishing – they were selling a bunch of the 9′ 5wts.
I rather wish they would have brought back the SLT, in an 8 or 8’6″ 4wt 4piece, but they didn’t ask me.
TVA began releasing a lot of water before the accident, when all the recent rain raised the lake levels above TVA’s operating flood guide for this time of year. Rumors are notoriously wrong.
I stand corrected.
I got quite a bit of fly fishing stuff, but probably the biggest highlight for me was spending a couple evenings with my brother, drinking his homebrew IPA and showing him how to tie a couple of fly patterns.
I’m probably going to get ripped for this, but hey, it’s Christmas …
Anyone have any experience with the Snowbee Waldron?? Yes, I know, at sub 2K it’s not a bank-breaker, and you get what you pay for usually.
I like (from pics) the fact that you can adjust the “arms” to accommodate really big hands, or just to “flatten” out the whole vise, but still keep the correct plane for when you user the rotary function.
You certainly won’t get ripped from here.
