    Picture arrived this weekend.  Dave’s got the rod pretty close.  He wanted to show me how the wood I gave him for the reel seat matched up with the wraps and blank.  I think it looks fantastic!  I’m glad it’s not here yet, I haven’t been able to get on the water in two weeks.  I’d be going nuts if all I could do was sit in the house and look at it.

    The grip is kinda unconventional, but I like it.  It’s what Dave prefers to put on a 5wt, and when I cast his I thought it fit me just right.  Hopefully in a few weeks I’ll get to try this one, as well.

    The builder is Dave Norling out of Minnepolis, MN.
