Sounds like Europe is in sore need of some progressive fisheries management.

Incidentally, when stitching panoramas, you get a lot less distortion using CS3’s auto-merge feature when you have a lot of images to work with. That and keeping the horizon level are critical (Lauren did an excellent job of that – better than I can do without a tripod).

That was Lauren’s – I just ran the software and set it up.

    Here’s a couple.

Click through this first one to see full size.  This is a stitched panorama of the first meadow of Slough Creek.

Those with Google Earth can download our track.  Just drag-and-drop the file into Google Earth and make sure your slider at the top left is configured wide enough to show the track for August 2009.  I’ve pinned the exact location of the panorama to the track.

Well, I do know this guy who is planning to get married in the fall, and he is so obsessed with college football that he made sure his wedding fell on the day of an away game so he could be certain all his groomsmen would show (and also so he could keep his mind in the game, so to speak).

    Hey guys –

Got stuck in wall-to-wall depositions the latter half of this week; I’ll get this podcast processed and loaded by Monday.

I believe Andrew Wright has fished Puerto Rico, mostly for bones – he may chime in here.

In the bottom photo it is a Fishpond Double Haul, without the chestpack.  (I hate chestpacks as chestpacks, but I use the one from the Double haul as a shoulder bag and it works great for that, especially on the beach).

In the top photo it is a Granite Gear snowboarder’s pack.  Lauren and I swapped out depending on who was going to be carrying and using the camera gear.

I purchased Camelbak bladders separately for both packs and added them; they didn’t come with the backpacks.  I really recommend those – Yellowstone was Lauren’s first time to use them and I’m sure she’ll agree.

Oh and in case you’re wondering what I’m doing; I’m actually flopping my right hand around because it felt like it was going to cramp.  That was a 20″ cutthroat that I was fighting upriver in heavy current, and I couldn’t move down to him due to a deep dropoff.

Ha!  Someone’s gotta hold the camera…  Here’s one for you, from Slough Creek (up in the damn rocks at the far end of the 1st Meadow – my hair was standing up taking these pics).

Here’s one of me that needed some work:

Not many pics of me on the whole trip, I’m afraid.  Better take it up with Lauren. 🙂
