Mike will do. They have their annual fishing derby on this weekend, usually dominated by bait guys, but I was setting up one fly fisher for it this morning. Hope he can nail them lol

I’m still waiting on the limited edition boat pics grr, with a trout print along the side.
    Looks so cool

    Cheers

Buzz you need to come down and see what we run in in these Supreme’s LOl

Actually Zach I was showing Joey from Supreme this thread yesterday and he said he could fix up a swing tongue tongue trailer $120. His words were fits most modern garages. After we both stopped laughing he said might fit 22′ would fit 23′.

BTW he was very interested in Mike’s boat. Nice piccies Mike.

Every boat is a compromise, what are you going to be doing the MOST of.
Tailwaters do a Supreme, 2000 not the big boat. 9.9hp 4 stoke Merc

I can run up and down with 2 anglers plus me in 8 units at Bull. 15 is faster and I’m tempted, but I’d reckon the 25 is overkill, especially if you are only 1 or 2 up a lot and the extra weight means you can’t run as shallow

I’d only lean to a jet if your running a lot of very very shallow water or lots of big flow.
You don’t have the same control when drifting as with a prop boat. Yep you can get oars and “drift it”, its been done around here but if you want to drift and still fish yourself one up, you might need to invest .
but I use the motor to maintain drift control etc.
    Simple process.

Plus the jets are bloody noisy. I can hold conversations with clients even running in mine.

    Cheers

Zero Units on below Bull Shoals and the fishing very good

They have been running short bursts in the am last two days

So much water down river, that they don’t want to create more flooding.
Not sure how long it will last a day two days or into next week. Hoping I need to fish LOL

But fishing has been good. The flooding 34-30 miles downstream was incredible.
The Buffalo rose 50′ and was running 137,000 cfs, this was what created the problems on Norfork, which was under a bunch of water.
I also saw figures on the White waaaaay downstream which was running 250,000 cfs. Monster water.

    Cheers

The wonderful support from all those in the industry who know and regard the Hada’s so highly keeps growing every day. As I’m sure Zach will attest the Hadas are simply good people. Zach if this fits with your pholosophy for the board would it be possible to pin this to the top.
We hope you all will give what you can for this family.

Not only do you get to help out a family in need but the prize list is phenomenal, how many times do you see a raffle where a River Boat is effectively “second prize”.

I have the current prize list below.

I happened to be on Norfork Sunday with a bunch of guys from Nebraska, all my clients were raw beginners. I wanted to fish the White, particularly when i saw the cloudy color after a major rain, but it turned out nicely.
Better than my previous trip with 2 guides from colorado when it was all small fish.

Helped being away from the pack a little (well as much as you can on Norfork, and some different fly choices.
Best was 18 but they did lose a couple of hefty fish though inexperience, one Mac couldn’t get off the bottom and he was pulling like he was connected with bass braid, despite my calm advice LOL
It wasn’t red hot fish a cast day but very repectable nonetheless.

I know Davy’s view was yarning with him on it a couple of weeks back and tend to agree its not the monster fish factory it used to be even 4y ago when i started visiting. But still very respectable by national standards, and a lot comes down to management. The White is still exceptional.

And Zach I always found Norfork tempermental, one of its charms, but it can be very good still on the right day. Brian Wise had a blast on dries on Monday, heard Bob Jacklin did too, with some nice BWO/midge hatches.

If I can offer some advice don’t lock yourself into 1 place or style of fishing, be adaptable, take the generation as it comes. Generation can be very good, just get a good boat driver, there is a bunch over here and you’ll have a blast.

    cheers steve

Mike Mclellan’s Jiggies are the coolest white Bass flies going
    Order the firetiger and chart/white

They don’t have pics on their website unfortunately (http://www.mcflyshop.com) but NW Arkansas has monster white bass, up to 4lb hybrids and stripers in a spring run
Hybrid below taken on my Dame fly

A beat up Jiggy in the corner of the mouth

Lots of fun I must make a run back over this spring.

I really don’t think there was much different with length with the 8wt which I cast head to head, but for those sort of questions that is really what you need to do with it. See if you can cast one.
Im sure I can hit 75′ with it, thrown the whole line off it, which most rods will do but depends on the sort of flies etc.

    Cheers

short rods are more accurate inherently, even with our own shortcomings lol

distance depends on your casting and size of fly. I’d say no problems though. luckily i have 2 in stock

I bought my wife this case before Christmas.

padded laptop compartment 15″ 119 bucks, Holds a bunch of stuff, I know she heads off to school every day with a bunch of teachers stuff in it.

I’d have one too for my laptop but I have an old leather case cost me 3x as much from my journalist days, that’s been repaired several times, beer stains etc.

But after all the whining (a little in this thread) about how expensive Fishpond are then
