Best reel on the market. I have been selling my Tibors and Nautilus reels and replacing them with Hatch.

We did stay at Pelican Bay. We had a king suite over looking the water. Very nice room.

Yeah, my shop has a relationship with them. We take groups down there several times a year. Great group and a top notch operation.
I am very familiar with the Native boats, while a good boat, it is vastly inferior to the new hybrid kayaks on the market. With the introduction of a lot of new designs on the market, the Native has now become dated. They would be on the bottom of the list as far as a fishing kayak, especially fly fishing.
Two-handed:
Sage TCX 7119-4 with a Sage 6010 reel. Loaded up with a Rio Scandi Short #7 with a selection of Rio Spey VersiLeaders. Bring on the chrome!!!
Single Hand:
Sage One 691-4 with Tibor Light Back Country CL and a 6wt. Rio Outbound Short.

Haha. I am actually making an SA order right now, so you have to give me a break on the hat.
I sold 8 saddles that I paid $100 total wholesale for $1500 on ebay last month. We have been sold out of the longer grizzly/ dry fly hackle for sometime now at the shop. They are even starting to buy shorter length hackle now too.
Have only had a few clients upset about not being able get hackle, but most clients just think it is funny that women are paying sometimes up to $15 for a feather in their hair.
I know some of the two-handed steelhead guys are getting pretty ticked because they can’t get grizzly saddles for tying intruders.
If you call Hareline, Whiting, Wapsi, etc… most will come pretty close to laughing at you if you ask if they have saddles and necks.

I use the butt section of the rod to fight the fish. I do palm the reel while fighting the fish though too. But most of the pressue is applied by the rod.
