I own this specific rod, and love it.  I have not had a chance to fish it yet but I like the way it casts.  I owned a 9wt version of it, before I upgraded to a Helios, and loved that one too.  
I think it will be great for a light salt water and striper rod, for me.
I have a Loop Evotec G3 on mine loaded with Sharkskin.
