I will try the JD idea as well because if all these sauces were a little thicker it would help with the cooking.

Here in Australia the economy is just starting to come off the boil and we may or may not go into recession depending who you listen to.
The politicians are all smiles and reassurance, but the bankers are pumping their pampers..In my house we’re cutting spending on a lot of things and paying off stuff on credit as a precaution and I’m cutting back on new tackle as part of that.
That said, I have my eye on a new ZXL 2 and a TCX 5, but might fund them in part at least by selling rods that I don’t use much.
Let’s face it, there’s no point in them gathering dust.The thing I wont cut back much on however is fishing time, in fact I’m hoping to do more seeing as no one will be booking shoots anyway.

Well, due to the fact it was all we had, my families first taste of the south happened with BBQ chicken.
One word – WOW !
My wife loved it and my 3 year old attacked it like Jaws, but my 10 year old had a small bite then did the long face thing, I told him it was just like Chicken nuggets and mustard sauce (to save time) and he responded “except this IS chicken dad” in that smartass lawyer tone he takes and then got stuck in..
All good..

I tried the new 9′ #8 Sage TCX today (along with the 5) and it was awesome !
The new model has a more forgiving nature, but all the brutality of the TCR – it also tracks better than any rod I’ve ever cast and lays out lovely straight lines with no problem.
I can’t comment on the Boundry waters because the last time I fished there was the early 70’s and fly fishing hadn’t been invented in the midwest yet.

Geez, I’ve clearly forgot how complex BBQ is.. 😮 ;D
In Australia it’s a simple affair.
For the men:
Gather at grill with beer – drink beer.
Fry onions – drink beer.
Throw on some snags (sausage) – drink beer.
Add steaks – drink beer.
Shuffle everything around grill until charred – drink beer.
Serve – drink beer.
Drink more beer.For the ladies:
Chill lots of beer.
Chop onions.
Make salads.
Set table.
Eat.
Clean up after men.
Driven pissed men home.
Wish you were born a man.

You’re right Dave, sorry haven’t fished in like 2.5 weeks. I’m both going nuts and falling love with my new little girl. Sorry – will try and get out here in a couple days and fish so I have something more in line with the fishy-related-threads to post.

I’m a bit of a zealot when it comes to lenses, and I can’t stand plastic sunnies, IMHO glass is always a clearer and less distorted view.

My lights (Elinchrom) have 300 watt modeling lights, through the softboxes ect. they would be enough with the high ISO to do some nice lighting.
I’ve also added two 1000 wattt tungsten lights (Elichrom mount) so I can up the ambient levels.I figure I will be able to do short video grabs of the people I shoot for the web or whatever the clients want..
Just need to learn all about sound gear

Chad, I’m wondering if clients might expect a photographer to shoot both stills and video in the future.
We might as well if we do the lighting anyway..
