You may have been the victim of a change in the weather. Whenever you start out cold and the day warms up a lot, as it does this time of year, you should re-seat your ferrules a couple times a day. The heat will typically make the outermost layers expand first and that will make the outer female ferrule tend to loosen. I usually notice because the guides also twist out of whack and I can feel the line dragging.

MemberZach,
Reports can be accessed via http://www.rangeresources.com; press release from 8/12 here http://www.rangeresources.com/Disc2/Range2010-20%20-%20Hydraulic%20Fracturing%20Disclosure%20Forms.pdf.
Why I do greatly appreciate the efforts of Range Resources to disclose what they are using, the fact remains, some caustic poison is being blasted into our aquifers and streams. Not to mention the enormous amount of water it takes for each well.

Memberjeez, you folks are bigtime photographers, i just thought it would be kinda cool for an amateur pic-taker (and amateur flyfisher for that matter) like myself to see one of his/her pics on the cover of an Orvis catalog.

MemberBill, this is soon to become the biggest environmental/fishing problem for all the states in the Marcellus Shale basin of WV, OH, PA and NY.
