This reminds me of a answer to this question that I heard/read .. I honestly forget, but it made me chuckle .. A pair of high powered binoculars…. To scope out the other guys fly.  ;D

Nice reel … You have some great photos in there and that trip looks killer!

Check out the Drake an issue back – full of under 40 fly – gals.  A couple have connections to this site.  None of these ladies, I found , to be hard on the eyes.

Heck I wish more ladies would get into it, would love to see my wife get bittin by the bug in the same capacity it has stung myself.

That was a great series in the Drake!

I have actually been running into more and younger women in fly fishing the last couple of years. Pretty cool.

Great shots and great fish (that brown is a beast!) .. You’ve got some fantastic stuff on your website also. Looking forward to seeing more!

Thanks for the compliments. Its amazing to me how many memories I can associate with this small stretch right below the dam. You meet some great people AND get some good stories!

TWiles: No doubt about there being some hogs in there! I break off a couple of “those” fish every year .. Not on 1x though! Now that must have been a monster!

timscott: Yes .. These were heavily altered. The first 3 were tone mapped and then taken back into PS for a little more … Even though the post is a bit heavy handed, I feel like they illustrate how I ‘felt’ that day … Everything was super vivid, this being my first trip up this year.

Mark: Do it! I dont think you’ll be sorry!

I very much like your series/project .. I’ve come back and looked at the thread a few times before posting. They are all strong images. For me these types of photos always bring up such conflict about luck, life, family, … the list goes on. In the end they accomplish their goal, to feel and think about their content. Thanks for sharing!

Great shots! I love old/abandoned/decayed buildings .. These have a fantastic rural feel. Great eye capturing them!

I def think I will start carrying multiple cards, rather than a single large card!

Chad, Thanks for the compliment. I’m giving it some effort … Hopefully I’m able to capture some of those FF ‘moments’.

    Has it been cropped?
    Baked or doctoreed?
Looks sharp on the web…in print?

I had an opportunity to send some images in recently. I put the images that the editor had requested in the root folder and I included my original raw/psd’s in a ‘originals’ sub-dir. My thinking was that as an editor they may want to see what my editing was and how it effected the image. Is this overkill?

in reply to: Wild Trout Symposium #26701

I would be very interested also …

in reply to: ZAR – Zero Assumption Digital Image Recovery #63684

Thanks … Lesson learned thats for sure!

I’m sure it was my card reader that was the problem and not the card itself.

in reply to: ZAR – Zero Assumption Digital Image Recovery #63682

Lol .. Yeah it was scary. Your right, it was even able to grab images from a few months ago!

While on the topic .. I was thinking that one way to combat this sort of problem would be to shoot on multiple smaller cards. Eliminating having everything on one big card. Any thoughts or other ideas?
