Thanks guys … It was a pretty sweet couple of weeks! Hopefully, I’ll be able to get back up there again a couple times this month to get some fall color and big fish!
Midcurrent is a good site to advertise on IMO … I think Matt has a good point about advertising to specific audiences. Washington Fly Fishing gets a ton of steelhead guys and has good traffic, etc.
I honestly don’t think it would be to far fetched to see companies have ‘internet reps’ that were involved with online communities and answered support/warranty/info questions on various message boards. It prob would not take a TON of time and I’m guessing the PR return would be great.
I agree with the guys that said getting gear into the hands of guides, etc is always a good idea.

I have been interested in checking out the Sage bass rod. Scott has/?had? a similar rod out … I did cast it a bit, but really think i’d need some time to get used to it
I find the Big Hole River Foundation to be a worthy cause
The Yellowstone is unbelievable in the Fall. The Big Hole is awesome in the fall. The Madison is great in the fall. HMMMM… Southwest Montana sounds like a good place.
Talk to Joel Thompson… He guides around Missoula and knows his stuff. I’ve heard good things about the Bighorn too.

I dig them … I like how much the fly line pops and how stark the contrast is, they could be woodcuts.
I have been using an aquaknot for about a year .. Glorified rolltop drybag with straps, but it works well.
I’m very interested to see what WJ does with the new waterproof line. I do have to say that those WJ mag packs are pretty water resistant themselves… Saw one get completely dunked for 5-10 seconds with zero water inside after.
