Darrin…I received the W20 for Christmas…and of course the W30 came out right after that. I’ve heard that the W30 has some great features that are lacking on the W20. I’ve thought of trying to sell mine and getting a W30…but then the W40 will come out…and the whole cycle will start again.
David…I am not sure that this rod is “a must have rod”…but I am intrigued with it nonthless. Several of the members on the Fiberglass Flyrodders forum have them and they are well thought of. And I have a soft spot for yellow fiberglass rods since my first was an Eagle Claw Featherlight…ha.

To my knowledge they are building rods that can’t be gotten over here. There are actually a few Japanese builders that are doing really beautiful work with glass…and the prices are reasonable.
Yeah Carter…five pieces…that is going to make a nice alpine lake pack rod.
I think back to when I’ve backpacked Colorado up in RMNP and wish now that I had been a glass junkie back then.
At $6 for a little can of the Sofia…it is not something that you might do often…but it is a nice treat.

Mike…I am not trying to hijack the thread here…but isn’t the Honda Element about the perfect fly fishing/family/camping/grocery getter/child carrier/everyday vehicle?
We’ve had ours since 2004 and I couldn’t be more happy with it. We’ve had no problems at all and I still think that for the money…about $22,000 for the EX All Wheel Drive model…that you can’t find anything that touches it.
I still get some shit from friends about driving a “box” around…but I like the Element a lot.
