    Hey guys,

Fished Courthouse Creek today outside of Brevard, N.C.  Only caught about 7.  All small, six bows and one brown.  The water on this stream is terribly low right now, and the fish were much spookier than normal.  I did manage to hook a few decent fish, biggest being approx. 10″, but the better fish all got off.  It was a beautiful day to be out fishing, I just hope the streams of western N.C. get some big time rain or this summer could be bad.  The only picture that I liked from today was this cool salamander.  This is the only stream I have seen these guys, and I see 2-3 of them everytime I’m there.

That’s the terrestrial phase of the red-spotted newt. That phase is sometimes called a red eft.

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.
