Well, I am hoping to make a trip out west this year, hopefully Colorado.

I think back to when I’ve backpacked Colorado up in RMNP and wish now that I had been a glass junkie back then.

The San Juans have some great alpine fishing too.

I had the good fortune to purchase a McFarland 7′, 3 piece, three weight last year. You will NOT be disappointed!

    Lots of good information.

Yes…the Scott “F” is a bit faster than most of my other glass rods…but I like the action to them.

Yes…the Scott “F” is a bit faster than most of my other glass rods…but I like the action to them.  That three weight I have is a bit small and light for all around work.  I might look at the four weight if I were you.  The wraps on this series of rods is really beautiful with grey, white, green, and black thread used in an interesting wrap style.

Just got the Scott 7’6 #4 Fibretouch and like the 3 it’s a great rod, but has that bit of extra grunt.

A picture is thousand words that takes less than a second while a thousand words is a picture that takes a month.
