MemberI don’t have any experience with the Simms pack, but I did start using the Fishpond Waterdance Guide pack this past summer.

MemberJack,
No personal experience w/ that model (I shoot an EOS 50D), but the reviews I read are overall positive.

MemberAlan,
Windows Movie Maker is actually a pretty decent program (never doubt Microsoft’s willingness to give away for free what others charge for).

MemberAllan,
No idea on how to setup the camera (I don’t own one), but I’d recommend Adobe Premier Elements for editing.

MemberZach,
I love your theory on fly rod design, and I tend to agree completely.

I use a Wonder Cloth to clean my fly lines.

MemberI just received a call back from Costco’s Sporting Good buyer and had a very nice, unfortunately “off the record” conversation.

MemberI posted over on the Angling Trade site, but I’ll post here as well. If Costco did what they are alleged to have done shame on them. It may not have been illegal but it certainly was unethical.
At risk of playing devils advocate, in the article I didn’t see a response from Costco. There were statements from both Sage and Simms, yet apparently no response from Costco. Does this mean they were contacted and wouldn’t comment or does it mean they weren’t even contacted.
I have contacted Costco’s corporate office and hope to hear something back.

MemberChad,
About an hour west of Weatherford you can fish the Brazos below the Possum Kingdom Lake dam. This is known as the highway 16 bridge over the Brazos. Parking is on the N and S sides of the highway with most folks parking on the East side. Should be some trout down there as the TPWD stocked last Tuesday. Wade across the river and head S along the central bar until you can cross to a sandbar, then either start fishing or head S to the bend and fish back upstream.
I’ve made a map which should help.
