I wasn’t planning to go to Ennis, I was just wondering about the flooding problems in Montana in general and if they would likely have an effect in the Glacier area.
We are actually flying into Kalispell and driving through Glacier and up into the Banff area.
If you are going anytime soon you may want to check and see if it is underwater.
Seriously, I am going to the Glacier area toward the end of July and was wondering about the area myself.
I agree, kayaks are great for lakes and salt, where you want to cover distance and it is easy to hold them still.
Just be careful with your timing, tryjng not to go through bt 7:30 and 9:30 or 4:00 and 6:00, and that will be a major help. Other than that, just stay on i75 and follow your road signs. You’ll be fine. This woman driver drives it regularly and has never had any trouble. 😉

I use ultra shimp mostly because they are very durable, but any shrimp pattern will work, even lightly weighted kwans. Usually #2 or #4 hooks.
How in the hell are you going to find anyone to depose in Cut Off. Talk about the middle of nowhere. Actually Cut Off is on the outskirts of nowhere.

The TFO pole is a nice touch, but I thought the hand finished custom bamboo pole had a certain elegance in a backwoods kind of way.
Use Zacks advice first. I don’t like soft scrub or products like it because it is hard to get the residue out of the small voids in the cork. This is particularly true if you are going to use a sealer. The residue will show up as white specks.
I use Tru Oil on the cork/burl grips I make, but U-40 cork sealer works just as well. Either will darken the cork slighly, but they also bring out any flaws in the cork. The cork will also have a slightly harder feel, but not slick.
If it were me, I would just leave it alone.
My two go to saltwater flats lines are the SA Mastery Bonefish taper and the SA Mastery Redfish taper.
This is an interesting topic. I had never considered the mitigation aspect of the stocking. This does throw in another wrinkle. I don’t think it would benefit anyone to have a dead zone in the tailwaters. Probably the best solution is for the Feds to donate the facilities to the states as their mitigation obligation and let the states run them for economic benefits.
I think the economic impact argument for funding could go a long way when you consider job creation and tax revenues generated. Both are major concerns of state government in the present economy.
