Well I’m disappointed there’s no responses, but I’ll throw a few more pics up here anyway.

Those were all just with the iphone, but that desk is going to be a great backdrop for fly photography, I can already tell.

Meanwhile this is the kind of furniture I was talking about (all of it very expensive since it’s kind of a one-off):

Thanks guys. As you know, Scott, Tracy was unhappy with our meagre 2 mile hike last time. So I was looking for something on the order of 6 in/6 out if I could find it.

    Jay –

Do you basically have a complete hull again now?

    Hey Brian –

Interesting. What kind of effect are you seeing at, say, Rim Shoals? Can you still wade across to the island or is that going to be boat-only?

BTW I will have my Gheenoe when I come over.

    Dave –

Which ones are you speaking of? My experience with them has been in moving water on the Chattahoochee, both my own and watching others. It hasn’t been a pretty picture from a maneuverability standpoint and I’ve watched several people get themselves in trouble through inability to avoid obstacles. These were SUPs like the Versaboard, just as an example.

    Corey –

You had like a big road trip planned with sponsorship from Patagonia as I recall–or maybe it was just a project? Is that going off?

Mike that’s a cool way you have your ride rigged there. My experience with SUPs has been that they are kinda barge-y when it comes to maneuvering in moving water. But for a still tailwater they would be ideal; might let you sneak up quietly on fish in the fall when they’re on the shoals.

The Little Red is my old stomping grounds.  Here’s a map of the shoals:

And here’s an article about the watershed I wrote almost ten years ago:

    Article: Siblings of the White

Generally speaking I would camp at JFK Park by the Dam but plan to range with water flows. Dripping Springs Shoal near Pangburn, Scroncher and Cow Shoals, and the area right by JFK Park below the Dam give you three good options so you can move around if they pulse water. The map has pulse times on it.

Not to mention Cody also has the only physical Sierra Trading Post store I’m aware of.  That’s the second best storefront in the West to me.  The first would be the Patagonia outlet in Dillon, Montana, just down the road from the taco bus.

That’s still awesome, Corey.  Did you wind up taking that big trip we talked about in the parking lot that day?

Awesome video dude!  I love how we can see you get towed around.  We have got to get you a net or a boga.

1:23 is hilarious!  But not as hilarious as 1:53.  And yet 2:46 is my favorite.

A lot of hiking, glassing, and putting a stalk on.

That’s basically my dream hunt man. I hunt public land in North Georgia for whitetails, and it’s pretty craggy so I bring binoculars and glass. But I’m basically pretending; I’ve only ever seen/killed them in heavy brush back in the timber. I would *love* to get a long shot from a good rest and decent cover some day.
