Over the past 90 days, 75 have been spent on the water. However, I apparently forgot the camera for 70 of those days.

Here is all I have to share:

    And a lot of this…………

The next 90 will be focused on Friday night lights, sink tips, and scouting for wapiti.

What's up, Lando! Nice to see you back. That's a pretty awesome summer if you ask me. Thanks to our epic freaking rains I managed to have fewer days on the water than any time in recent memory. I probably fished less than a dozen times all summer. Is that a mountain whitey about halfway down or a big grayling? Its gills look cool.

By the way do you bugle the elk in or stalk them?

What up Lando. Good to see you around these parts.

What’s up, Jerms? How have you been?

Zach, that’s a grayling.  The photo with my boat was taken from the lake that holds grayling, cutts, bows, and brookies. My client for the day got the slam.

As for the elk, I didn’t draw a bull tag, so I will be chasing cows. One of my tags opens October 1, and the other starts November 1. Generally we have an idea where the elk should be, then try to get to them before the wolves do. A lot of hiking, glassing, and putting a stalk on. However, it all comes down to getting out there, spending the time in the hills, and hoping for a lot of luck.

That’s basically my dream hunt man. I hunt public land in North Georgia for whitetails, and it’s pretty craggy so I bring binoculars and glass. But I’m basically pretending; I’ve only ever seen/killed them in heavy brush back in the timber. I would *love* to get a long shot from a good rest and decent cover some day.

Lando, where you been?!?  Good to see you’ve been out and about.

What’s up, Kelly? I bet you are happy that your boy comes home soon………….should be there tonight, right?

I have been super busy chasing kids, I got my Master’s (4.0 to boot), and have been running trips like a mad man. Football has started and that is where my focus lies right now. 1-0 with a 27-10 win over Laurel, MT this past weekend!

But soon the lakes will cool and the elk will come down from the high country.

Hello to you Mark, I’m a nube in here but find it a nice hangout.

Question, the 6th image you posted, with the Helios in the background, can you give me a better idea of whadup there, I can see a fly apparently hooked into something but am curious as to what that is. I am assuming it is a slow shutter blurred image (?) or the all too rare blob monster that is rumored to haunt certain streams.
Congrats on your masters, 4.0 is impressive. My sons both have their masters but neither of them nailed that level of GPA…well done sir.

I am headed to Co. later this month for a week of archery hunting for elk. This will be my first time chasing elk, my buddy/host/guide told me its a lot like calling in a half ton turkey and a close up bugle will lift you right off the ground.

    Nice pics, you be well.

Oh, that’s a carp. I like to target them out of the reservoir when the streams are blown out, or I just have a few hours to fish. I find tha chasing them really improves my salt game. It is the closest thing to tailing reds I can get here in WY.

The kid is back and already been on the water 4 times since his return. Reality hit when he realized he had to start work today. Fishing has been great with some real pigs this year so far. Congrats on the degree and good luck with the football.

    Kelly.
