    I am planning a trip to the Little Red River. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good place to camp on the river?

    There is a camping area at the Dam. There is also a nice place to rent cabins called LOBO Landing.  If you camp at the dam it is closer to more accesses.  There are a couple of other camping areas but I don’t know much about them.

    When the going gets tough, the tough go fishing.

    Generally speaking I would camp at JFK Park by the Dam but plan to range with water flows. Dripping Springs Shoal near Pangburn, Scroncher and Cow Shoals, and the area right by JFK Park below the Dam give you three good options so you can move around if they pulse water. The map has pulse times on it.

    It’s not a campground, but try the Red Apple Inn in Heber Springs.  Cheap and nice.
