    Welcome Mark.

Are you going to fishing GSMNP 26-28/ Oct? That would be great!
Me and Cameron and several friends will fish that area on that weekend too. Hopefully we can meet up and fish some glass rods πŸ˜€

Thanks for the information… I am looking for a good pair of polarized glasses too… but I think I got a very limited choice, due to the prescription eyes… I was wondering are these lens made by glass?

There is one life of tree for salmon I found(1999)
Lenok are close related to Taimen than other trout
Just do a quick search… I bet there are something slightly different now a day…
Gary might have his thought… πŸ˜‰

    Gary,
Hokkaido would be a awesome trip! Are you planning to catch some sea-run taimens?

I know some spey junkies use a lot of tranditional spey flies for Dolly and Salmon.

For Amago and Iwanas, I think the generic little dry or nymph would work well. Especially if you will fish pocket waters in the mountain. Otherwise I will throw big streamers just like these guys did.

    ;D yes!

    I love this website too!
He got lots’ of hand modified tools and I love his philosophy like “after you replace the cork, you feel great and have a new rod”. I was looking up his website when I fish Japan last year actually. Very very useful and nice website indeed.

    I use Renzetti Traveler.
And it sounds lot’s people use this vise too… πŸ™‚

Are there any drawbacks for this vise? Seriously… I feel pretty satisfied with it, but I mainly tie small things… it’s pedestal is heavy and strong enough for most of my little flies which is really out of my expectation…

Based on the several characters mentioned above, I assuming the Shark skin make for “floating line” right? So I guess it won’t have impact to steramer fishing?

    Hey David,

I agree with you… Shadow is good or bad. Just like a double edge saw. it’s all depends on when and how to use them πŸ˜€ you make several good points and thanks for the detail studio setup…
I was wondering, did you shoot Micro photos with Canon TSE 90mm? Would love to see some examples… if possible πŸ˜‰
